Stirk House Ribble Valley Wedding Photographer
Stirk House Hotel is a quaint Wedding Venue set in the stunning Ribble Valley near Clitheroe. Its ivy clad walls have been standing for nearly 400 years, and the warming fireplace has been welcoming guests since 1933.
Stirk House offers contemporary luxury within amazing historic surroundings, a wedding photographer’s and Wedding couple’s dream location and among some of my favourite Wedding Venues to photograph at.
This Ribble Valley Wedding Venue was originally built in 1635 using stonework from the dismantled Sawley Abbey. Even though it is now a wonderful Wedding Venue it has retained its colourful history and still retains its old world charm, something which obviously appealed to my Bride and Groom.
When I met Jamie and Bekki for their Wedding Consultation and Pre Wedding Photoshoot at Thompson Park in Burnley. We discussed the type of Wedding photos they would want on their Wedding Day and the amazing feature tree within the grounds of Stirk House was a must. Having a Pre Wedding Photoshoot is a great way to get used to having big cameras pointing at you, and getting to know your Wedding Photographer before your Wedding Day. Your Wedding Photographer is with you throughout most of your Wedding Day, it’s important that you gel together.
As this Wedding Venue isn’t too far from where I live, it was a nice leisurely start to the day for me and my assistant. Being a Winter Wedding it’s always going to be hit and miss with the weather, and although there looked to be some storm clouds as I drove over Pendle Hill, the weather was perfect, albeit a little cold throughout their Wedding Day.
When Dad sees his beautiful Daughter for the first time in her Wedding Dress, all ready to go and say “I Do” to the man of her dreams. Priceless !
Photo bombed by the Gromsmen during the Wedding Photos #UTC, Burnley Fans.
The Groom is an avid supporter of the Clarets, Burnley Football Club. This photo was in the Match Programme Burnley FC v Leicester City – How cool is that !
The things Wedding Photographers hear during the Wedding speeches !
What a lovely surprise for the Groom. A signed Wedding Card from the football players at Burnley Football Club.
Well, if you support Burnley Football Club, there is going to be at least one tier of the Wedding Cake devoted to claret and blue !
